Playday Booties and Bonnet Knitting Pattern

YARN The After Party 110 showcases the adorable Playday Bootees & Bonnet designed by Jane Burns, expanding her striking garment collection for babies and children featured in Scheepjes’ YARN The After Party series! This special 2-in-1 issue contains a wonderful design for a pair of knitted bootees and for a soft bonnet for the little ones in our lives, both made using our Merino Soft Brush yarns. Completed with brightly-coloured buttons to add a final touch of cuteness.

Both the Playday Bootes and Bonnet are knitted in garter stitch using one of our seven shades of Scheepjes Merino Soft Brush. For crafty hands looking to create their own unique make, this garment would look just as adorable in one of our 56 colours of Scheepjes Merino Soft! Merino Soft and Merino Soft Brush are interchangeable yarns, made from a silky soft Merino Wool blend with a luxurious look and feel, perfect for creating super soft garments for children. The pattern includes 3 shoe sizes and 2 bonnet sizes for children from 0-24 months old.

Playday Bootees

• Scheepjes Merino Soft Brush (50% Superwash Merino Wool, 25% Microfibre, 25% Acrylic; 50g/105m)
  1 (1: 2) balls (depending on size), e.g. in colour 252 Toorop
• 2 x 17.5mm Bottoni Italiani buttons, e.g. in colour 693 red
• 3.25mm knitting needles
• 3.25mm circular knitting needles (optional)

Bonnet

• Scheepjes Merino Soft Brush (50% Superwash Merino Wool, 25% Microfibre, 25% Acrylic; 50g/105m)
  2 balls, e.g. in colour 252 Toorop
• 2 x 17.5mm Buttons
• 4.00mm and 3.25mm knitting needles
• Lockable stitch markers
